James Trujillo

James Trujillo was born in the West Texas town of El Paso and later moved to Austin where he attended the University of Texas. There, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Applied Learning and Development with minors in Psychology, English Literature, and Spanish. He then attended the University of Missouri School of Law where he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree. 

 

James is passionate about defending the rights of Texas clients and is committed to helping each one obtain justice. In his extensive experience as an attorney, he's successfully tried and arbitrated over one hundred and fifty cases to verdict all over the great state of Texas including Collin, Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Smith, Gregg, Lubbock, and El Paso Counties. Additionally, he has skillfully negotiated a number of cases resulting in favorable outcomes for his clients for millions of dollars. His accomplishments and successes have been featured in a number of magazines over the years including a 2011 edition of Texas Lawyer where, after winning one of the largest verdicts in Smith County, Texas, he was deemed Litigator of the Week. In 2017 his success was featured once again in Texas Lawyer Magazine where his verdict listing was in the top 10 work-injury verdicts in the state of Texas. James tried twenty-eight cases in the year 2018 winning fourteen in a row and securing favorable verdicts in twenty-one out of the twenty-eight cases tried. Because of his outstanding reputation within the legal community, judges and attorneys often ask him to give teaching lectures on many topics, including conducting voir dire examinations, opening arguments, cross-examination, and closing arguments to other attorneys.

Away from the office, James enjoys spending time with his son and playing golf.
